Saturday's weed patrol consisted of Giovanni Rosati, Robin Garrison, Malaika Garrison, and Stacey Casco. They successfully cleared three gardens beds that are now ready for cultivation. No herbicides - just a little bit of exercise!
is comprised of a group of women across the Hawaiian islands who recognize power inequities within the battered women’s movement and who have traditionally been silenced within society and the battered women’s movement by way of organized and institutionalized oppression. We are comprised of grass-roots groups whose goal is to create a space where women of color in the State of Hawaii can dialogue, network and organize to form an agenda that values women of color and amplifies the social, economic and political power of women of color within the movement by giving women of color the opportunity to be heard and considered in all levels of leadership and governance.
